Julie Anne Peñaflorida San Jose, or JAPS to her supporters, is a 21 year- old contract artist of GMA-7. She is a performer, actress, product endorser, and recording artist with a self-titled album available worldwide.

Julie Anne had her first TV experience upon joining Eat Bulaga's Little Miss Philippines when she was three years old. She won first runner-up then but did not pursue show business until Popstar Kids, a singing competition that she joined in 2005. Although Julie Anne did not win the grand prize, she became part of Sugarpop, the show's spin-off children singing group. The group released two studio albums, Sugar Pop and Sugar Pop Repackaged, they also had a show on QTV 11 entitled Planet Q, where a young Julie Anne and her group mates showcased their hosting abilities. Sugarpop also performed weekly in the GMA-7's variety show, SOP. She made her debut in acting in 2008 in the afternoon soap Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan?

Upon the ending of SOP, Julie Anne was re-cast into the replacement show Party Pilipinas as a solo artist. As she evolved as a performer, Julie Anne was able to showcase her singing, dancing, even acting abilities onstage. She also had tandem performances with Elmo Magalona, or with Frencheska Farr, which fans of the show avidly watched out for. She has done 5 short films for the Red Mask series 1 and 2, and starred in Party Pilipinas musicals - Blue Jeans The Musical, Elmo and Julie Anne: A Wazak Love Story, and Status: It's Complicated.

In April 2011, Julie Anne started to do UStreams for her fans with a different theme every time. It is a webcast where she performs songs based on the theme. Her viral video Superbass, now with 16 million views, is from one of her UStreams. The said video was a factor for her selection as David Archuleta's front act in July 2011. She was also part of the TV show Daldalita and the sitcom Andres De Saya that year.

2012 - Present In August 2012, she released her self-titled debut album which later on received numerous awards and is now a certified diamond record. Her single, "I'll Be There" remains the only single certified double platinum, triple platinum and quadruple platinum by the Philippine Association of theRecording Industry (PARI). Julie Anne landed several TV projects that year including the weekly teen oriented show Together Forever where she played the lead female role, Toyang. In 2013 she played a lead role in the primetime show Kahit Nasaan Ka Man where she played a blind character named Pauline who later on underwent an operation and was able to see. That same year, she had her first solo concert at the Music Museum entitled It's My Time. In 2014 Julie Anne had her first major concert at the Mall Of Asia Arena and was able to pull off the very first Hologram technology driven concert in the Philippines entitled Hologram. On that year Julie Anne released her second solo studio album entitled Deeper and is now certified Gold by PARI. Julie Anne co-hosted and was a regular performer in the weekly dance show, Marian.

Julie Anne is one of the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit's (OPM) active Junior Ambassador. Her job as a junior ambassador is to represent and promote Filipino Music to the young generation.

Currently, Julie Anne plays a recurring role in the sitcom Pepito Manolo where she plays the role of Nikki. She's also a regular performer in the weekly variety show Sunday All Stars and is hosting a GMA News TV show, Day Off.
